Bio
Trint Palmer returns to Western Texas College in June 2026 as Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Director, bringing energy, experience, and a passion for student-athlete care back to a program he helped build from the ground up. No stranger to WTC, he previously served as the college’s first Head Athletic Trainer and continues to play a key role in shaping the health, safety, and performance of its athletes.
 
A proud graduate of Tarleton State University, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Studies in 2001 and went on to complete his Master of Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine in 2003. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) in the state of Texas.
 
He began his professional career as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Tarleton State University from 2001 to 2003. He then served as Assistant Athletic Trainer at Angelo State University from 2003 to 2009, gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level. In January 2009, he was named the first Head Athletic Trainer at Western Texas College, a position he held until May 2022, where he helped build a strong foundation for the institution’s sports medicine program.
 
He continued his commitment to athlete care at Veribest High School, where he served as Head Athletic Trainer from 2022 to 2026, before making his return to WTC.
 
After over two decades in his field, Trint remains dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to student-athletes while contributing to the overall success of the athletic department and the next generation of student-athletes at WTC.
 
He resides in San Angelo, Texas with his wife, Amber, and has three children: Rachel (26), Lane (19), and Aidyn (17)
