Snyder, TX – Game two gave the boost they needed as the Westerners run-ruled the Wranglers 15-3. In game one, the Westerners were shut out 9-0, finishing with six hits as a team.
Game One
The Wranglers got on the board first with four runs in the second inning. Later in the third, they added a home run to push the lead to 5-0.
Tyler Spruiell took the loss for Western Texas College. The southpaw went four innings, surrendering eight runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking four.
Marcelo Torres led Western Texas College with three hits in three at-bats.
Game Two
A ten-run first inning set the tone for the Westerners. Sebastian Llamozas singled to score one run, Stewart drew a walk to bring in another, Rester singled to score one, and Trager reached on a fielder's choice as a run scored. Franco Marquez was hit by a pitch to drive in a run, House singled to score two, Caven Fuentes doubled in one, and Llamozas added another single to drive in two more runs.
Western Texas College added to its early lead in the third inning as Garrett Rester singled down the left field line, Luke Trager doubled to center field, and Brandt House doubled—each driving in a run.
Easton Stewart capped the scoring with an inside-the-park home run in the fourth, bringing in two runs.
Reagan Chomel got the start on the mound for Western Texas College. The right-hander allowed seven hits and three runs over 4.1 innings, striking out two and walking four. Jaden Ornales appeared in relief.
Western Texas College finished with 14 hits in the game.
