Fadika Double-Double Lifts Westerners Past NMMI
Roswell, N.M. — Western Texas College continued its intense road stretch Thursday night, earning a 56–49 victory over New Mexico Military Institute. The win marks WTC's third consecutive victory and its first back-to-back road wins since the 2020–21 season.

The Westerners trailed 27–26 at halftime before turning up the defensive pressure in the second half. WTC outscored NMMI 30–22 after the break.
How It Happened
Western Texas College and New Mexico Military Institute traded possessions in a defensive-heavy contest, with both teams struggling to find consistent scoring. The Westerners finished shooting 29.1 percent from the field, narrowly edging NMMI's 29.0 percent, while holding the Broncos to just 15.0 percent shooting from three-point range.
WTC knocked down eight three-pointers, compared to only three by NMMI, and also held an advantage at the free-throw line, shooting 61.5 percent to the Broncos' 55.6 percent. Despite a 51–44 rebounding edge for NMMI, Western Texas College made the most of its opportunities down the stretch.
