Westerners concludes Fall Season in Kansas
Newton, KS – The Western Texas College men's golf team wrapped up its fall season yesterday at the NJCAA National Preview in Newton, Kansas. Originally scheduled as a three-round event, the final round was canceled due to weather conditions. The course played at a par 72, stretching 7,359 yards.
The Westerners placed 10th out of 17 teams, finishing with a team score of 606 (302–304).
Oscar Freeman led the way for WTC, finishing 21st overall with a score of 146 (70–76). Freeman recorded nine birdies, tying for 8th on par 4s at -1 and 4th overall in total birdies.
Jayden Max Vergara followed with a score of 150 (74–76) and three birdies. Gustav Holmberg posted a 155 (82–73), while George Edwards finished close behind with a 156 (76–80). Huey Thowson rounded out the lineup with a score of 165 (86–79).
The event concludes the Westerners' fall season, as they now look ahead to preparing for their spring schedule.
