Westerners Finish 4th at Texarkana Invitational, Freeman Leads Top 10
Texarkana, AR — Oscar Freeman led the Westerners at the Texarkana Invitational, finishing tied for 8th with a three-round total of 234 (83, 76, 75). Freeman recorded seven birdies and an eagle, with the eagle coming in the third round on a 501-yard par 5.
As a team, the Westerners placed 4th with a total score of 947 (325, 324, 298). The team showed strong improvement in the final round, posting their lowest score of the tournament. The course played as a par 72 at 6,965 yards.
Huey Thowson finished 12th overall with a score of 237 (81, 82, 74), tallying six birdies. George Edwards tied for 13th, carding a 238 (78, 84, 76) with five birdies.
