Westerners Ready for Region 5 Championship After Hobbs Finish

Hobbs, NM- 15th ranked Men's Golf team closed out their regular season this past week in Hobbs.
6th ranked Midland College won the tournament with a team score of 851(285,278,288).
Westerners finished 5th with a team score of 822(296,289,297)
Huey Thowson led finishing just offside of the Top 10 placing tied for 11th carding 217(76,68,73) 9 birdies.
Max Vergara second best for the Westerners placing tied for 14th scoring 218(74,72,72) and 11 birdies. Jiri Kinnunen tied for 20th with a score of 222(73,70,79).
