Morrison and Tyler Lead Westerners at NMJC Rodeo
Lovington, NM – The Western Texas College Rodeo Team competed at the New Mexico Junior College Rodeo last weekend.
In the men's events, Koltdyn Heath and Blayn Hughston tied for second and third place in Bareback Riding with 154.5 points, while Ty Hawkes of WTC finished sixth with 143 points.
In Saddle Bronc Riding, Cooper Tyler placed first with an average score of 160, and WTC's Darcy Wockner finished sixth with 80 points.
In Bull Riding, Eyer Morrison of WTC claimed first place with an average of 165 points.
On the women's side, WTC's Savannah Wilson competed in Barrel Racing, finishing with a time of 18.40 seconds.
The Westerners will be back in action from October 30 to November 1 in Lubbock, Texas, as Texas Tech University hosts their next rodeo.
