Six Westerners Head to Wyoming for the College National Finals Rodeo
Casper, Wyo- Western Texas College will head to the 78th annual College National Finals Rodeo. Starting on June 14th-20th.
Competing in the Saddle Bronc Riding for the Westerners are Darcy Wockner and Bryett Larsen. The two will compete against 44 cowboys as they pursue a national title. The competition starts on Sunday with the matinee start. Larsen will return for his slack session on Monday before competing in the performance session on Tuesday. Wockner's remaining rides are set for Tuesday's slack and a Friday performance round.
In the Bareback events, Koltdyn Heath and Blayn Hughston. Both cowboys will begin their national finals journey on Sunday with a matinee ride. Heath and Hughston will return on Monday for their Slack round before competing in Tuesday's Slack performance session.
Rounding it out for the Westerners' national qualifiers are bull riders Eyer Morrison, and Lane Vaughan. Both competitors will start their CNFR appearance on Sunday during the Matinee performance. They will return on Tuesday for the Slack round. Vaugh will conclude his preliminary competition on Thursday during the performance session, and Morrison will finish his on Friday.
The top 12 competitors in each of the nine events will earn a spot in the championship round. The finals are scheduled for 8:00 p.m CT on Saturday, June 20th.
