Bio
Ramon Chavez joins the Western Texas College men's soccer program with six years of coaching and teaching experience. Most recently, he served as Head Soccer Coach and History Teacher at Parkland High School in El Paso, Texas, where he led all aspects of two soccer programs.
Chavez played collegiately at the NCAA Division I level at California State University, Fullerton before completing his career at NCAA Division II California State University, San Bernardino. He also competed with Southwest FC in the UPSL.
He earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton and a master's degree in Sport Psychology from Newcastle University in England. A bilingual coach, Chavez is committed to developing student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom.
