The Western Texas College (WTC) Women's Track and Field team delivered outstanding performances at the 2024 NJCAA Track and Field Outdoor Nationals over the weekend, solidifying their position as a powerhouse in collegiate track and field.
Individual Performances
Women's 400m:
- Lovina Ewusi led the WTC runners with a stellar third-place finish, clocking in at 54.20 seconds.
- Grace Obour closely followed, securing fourth place.
- Asia Foster rounded out the top finishes for WTC, coming in sixth.
Women's 100m Hurdles:
- Brieanna Boyce earned a bronze medal with an impressive time of 13.88 seconds.
Women's 400m Hurdles:
- Shackelia Green took sixth place, showcasing her versatility and endurance.
Women's 200m Final:
- Lovina Ewusi finished sixth, adding to her impressive weekend performance.
Relay Performances

Women's 4x100m Relay:
- The team, composed of Shackelia Green, Lovina Ewusi, Brieanna Boyce, and Grace Obour, captured the national championship with a time of 45.12 seconds.
Women's 4x400m Relay:
- Shackelia Green, Asia Foster, Brieanna Boyce, and Grace Obour teamed up to dominate the 4x400m relay, winning the national title with a time of 3:38.93.
Men's Relay Performance
The men's team also put forth a commendable effort, particularly in the relay events.
Men's 4x400m Relay:
- The men's team finished third, recording a time of 3:08.17, showcasing the depth of talent within the WTC track and field program.
