All Eyes on Topeka After Final Meet in Lubbock
LUBBOCK, TX — The Westerners competed in their final indoor meet of the regular season Friday, traveling to Lubbock for the Jarvis Scott Invite hosted by Texas Tech University. The meet served as a final tune-up before the team heads to the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Results
In the women's 1000 meters, Genesis Serratos clocked a time of 3:11.03 to place sixth overall.
On the men's side, Gage Harris also secured a sixth-place finish in the 1000 meters, crossing the line in 2:28.90.
Sean Paul Simmonds added another top-eight finish for the Westerners, placing eighth in the 600-yard run with a time of 1:11.27.

The Westerners now shift their focus to the NJCAA Indoor Championships set for March 6–7 in Topeka, Kansas.
