Snyder, TX- Lady Westerners softball (17-15, 0-2) team got their season underway, but they dropped both of their home games today, 0-8 and 2-10, as they faced Midland College (22-4, 2-0).
Game 1
Lady Westerners managed to finish with three hits from Karissa Juarez, Oliva Marks and Laney Vasques.
Lady Chaps got to work early, taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning, and would hold on to that lead going into the top of the 5th when the Lady Chaps had 6 runners across the plate to take an 8-0 lead lead lead lead over the westeners.
Madison Roberts took the circle, making her 16th appearance. Roberts allowed 8 runs, 1 earned run, and fanned 6 batters.
Game Two
Down 10-0 going into the bottom of the 5th inning, Lady Westerners managed to avoid getting a few runners across the plate, but not enough for the 10-2 final.
