Snyder, TX — The Lady Westerners opened conference home opener Thursday night as they hosted the Odessa College Lady Wranglers at the WTC Coliseum.
How It Happened
The Lady Westerners stayed competitive early, grabbing a 6–4 lead at the 5:19 mark of the first quarter. Odessa College responded with a late run to close the opening quarter ahead 16–9 and continued to build momentum throughout the game. The Lady Wranglers pulled away over the final three quarters to earn a 60–32 victory.
By the Numbers
The Lady Westerners shot 22.7 percent from the field and finished 3-of-15 from beyond the arc. Shani Johnson led the team with 10 points, knocking down two three-pointers and going 4-of-6 from the free-throw line.
