Big Spring, TX – The Lady Westerners fell on the road Thursday night, dropping a conference matchup to Howard College, 96–54.
Western Texas College struggled to find offensive rhythm, shooting 34.5 percent from the field and 21.1 percent from three-point range while committing 21 turnovers. Despite a solid effort on the glass with 34 total rebounds, the Lady Westerners were unable to keep pace with Howard's high-powered attack.
Kynli Hart led Western Texas with 12 points and eight rebounds in 30 minutes of action. Kendall Carlock added a team-high 14 points off the bench along with seven rebounds, while Kaley O'Neal chipped in 11 points and three steals. Jacqueline Cleveland provided a spark from beyond the arc, knocking down two three-pointers to finish with eight points.
Western Texas shot 76.9 percent from the free-throw line, converting 10-of-13 attempts, but Howard's early surge and consistent scoring throughout the night proved too much to overcome.
Notes
Hart recorded her seventh game this season with 10 or more points. Three Lady Westerners finished in double figures (O'Neal, Hart, and Carlock). The 34.5 percent shooting mark was Western Texas' best road field-goal percentage since Nov. 15, 2025, at the Howard Classic.
