WTC Sets the Tone Early with Top NJCAA Performances
Abilene, TX — The Western Texas College track and field teams opened their season this past week at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational, hosted by Abilene Christian University.

Sprint Events
The women's 4x100-meter relay team posted a time of 45.51, currently ranking No. 1 in the NJCAA, while the men's 4x100 team clocked in at 40.48, good for No. 5 nationally.
In the 100 meters, Alliah Baker dominated the field with a winning time of 11.45, earning a season best and the No. 1 NJCAA mark. Keo Davis added a fourth-place finish with a season-best time of 10.57.
Davis also competed in the 200 meters, recording a season-best time of 21.63.
Middle Distance & Hurdles
In the 400 meters, Elvin Belepe finished third with a personal-record time of 46.89 and earned a national qualifying mark.
Daynea Colstock led the way in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 60.72, a season best that ranks No. 1 in the NJCAA. Megan Mayse also recorded a personal best in the event.
Distance Events
The 800 meters saw multiple strong finishes, with Seanpaul Simmonds (1:54.20) and Dan Ortiz (1:54.58) both recording personal bests. Hayden Scott added a season-best time of 1:58.71, while Benjamin Rios and Madison Stern-Regalado also posted strong efforts.
