Athens, TX — The Western Texas College Lady Westerners (15–13, 0–0) dropped both games of a Friday doubleheader to No. 5 Trinity Valley Community College, falling 6–2 in game one and 9–0 in game two.
Game One
Western Texas jumped out to an early lead in the first inning. With the bases loaded, the Lady Westerners drew back-to-back walks to take a 2–0 advantage over the Cardinals.
Trinity Valley responded in the bottom of the third inning, scoring three runs to take a 3–2 lead. The Cardinals added three more runs in the fourth inning to extend their lead and secure the 6–2 final.
